Students from all five boroughs travel on buses and subways to major New York City concert venues to hear performances by such composers as Copland, Handel, Stravinsky, and Vivaldi; and to see such notable dance companies as Ballet Hispanico, Bill T. Jones / Arnie Zane & Co., the Limon Company, and Freefall Modern Dance Company. The musicians of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s are collaborators in these performances, providing live music, visiting classrooms and coaching young instrumentalists. The following describes each OSL free concert series:

Fall Production (#1):
Orchestra of St. Luke’s musicians offer performances of vibrant Orchestral repertoire. In addition, the Fall Production typically incorporates a visual art or multi-media presentation on a big screen, and features an up-and-coming conductor. Current venue host is The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (NYC).

Spring Production (#2):
In addition to a performance by members of Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Spring Production includes a collaboration with professional choreographers and dancers. Music students from OSL partner schools may be invited to participate. Current presenting host is TRIBECA Performing Arts Center (NYC).

Seating is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis until theater capacity has been reached. Visit to place your reservation request.
