Dyker Heights Family Day Care center in Brooklyn has been in steady operation since 1993. From day one the school was designed with safety in mind. Each toy and piece of equipment was carefully selected for safety purposes. Staff are also trained in CPR in order to be ready in case of emergency.
The rates for basic child care services starts at $195 for children over two years old. Children under two years old cost $275.
The school opens at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and is open until 8:30 p.m. The center is open year round so parents do not need to find an alternate day care for vacations.
Parents should ensure that children who are sick not be brought to the center. This is for every child’s health and well-being. One sick child can infect the entire center and cause a chain reaction of illness that is passed around. In order to prevent that from happening, a strict no illness policy is always in force. The staff cannot administer medication, so if your child gets sick while at day care, then parents will be called to pick them up.
The closure days for the center include Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. Otherwise, the school is always open. If a holiday falls on Saturday, then the school will close on the Friday preceding it. If the holiday falls on Sunday, then the center will close on the Monday following.
