Focus On 92nd Street Y

Wonderplay – that’s the affectionate title given to the 92nd Street Y early childhood education program.

The 92nd Street Y nursery school has been a respected educational institution since 1938. Located at 1395 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, the community center is more than a nursery school or early childhood education program. It has blossomed into a full scale community center with programs for people of all ages.

The nursery school is located on the sixth floor and includes playrooms and the popular GymMaze. The center features year round art classes and workshops in music, dance, science, aquatics, sports, social interaction and many other cultural and educational disciplines.

They seek to foster the imagination of young children as well as the intellect and curiosity of younger learners and encourage development emotionally, mentally, socially, physically and intellectually.

92nd Street Y is aligned with the Jewish faith, but it is open to people of all faiths and national origins. You can learn more about the center from ISAAGNY and the center’s own website.
