Focus On Eden II School

Autism is a developmental disorder that can range from mild to severe. It’s a complex disorder that affects thousands of children and adults from all segments of society. It is usually detected within the first three years of life, but people afflicted with autism experience its challenges throughout life.

The Eden II School is a special program for preschool children through adulthood who have been diagnosed with autism or one of the other Pervasive Development Disorders (PDD).

Programs include:

  • Preschool
  • Educational day school for ages 5-21
  • Adult services for 21 years of age and older
  • After school programs
  • Special education programs for children aged 3 and above

The goal of Eden II is to provide autistic students the best of possible quality of life opportunities. Founded in 1976 in Staten Island, Eden II serves all of New York City. Beyond education and services for students with autism, Eden II also is committed to helping support families and parents of children with autism.

Eden II School is one of the most successful educational programs for autistic children in the country. It is a model to follow for other schools that aspire to reach those with PDD and it continues to grow.
