Each child’s individuality begins at a very early age and founder of the Montessori education system, Maria Montessori, referred to the child’s mind from the time of birth as “the absorbent mind” or “…the mind’s natural ability to absorb knowledge.”

Elemental Arts Montessori School, located in historic Beverly Square West in Brooklyn, NY holds to the philosophy that…

During the first six years of a child’s life, they are developing a unique sense of who they are in the world around them. They explore their world with a natural curiosity eager to discover and absorb new concepts. EAM places a high value on providing quality Montessori education. This is accomplished through our commitment to the values and tenets inherent in Dr. Montessori’s philosophy and method.

The Elemental Arts Montessori School feels that children should have fun through exploring and discovering, thus learning to find the best in themselves and others. EAM is for children who will be 3, 4, or 5 years old, respectively, by December 31 of the year they are enrolled.  Each class holds only 12 children, thus allowing for a more personalized attention to detail and education.

A Few Details:

  • Three programs are offered for parents with special scheduling needs: half day, full day and an early morning drop off.
  • Applications for enrollment are considered on a first come first serve basis.
  • Currently attending children and their siblings are given priority consideration for the upcoming year.
  • Gender balance is considered when classes are being established.
  • Elemental Arts Montessori does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical challenge, national origin or any other characteristics.
