Focus On Epiphany Elementary School

by NYC Firm Schools on November 6, 2010

Epiphany Elementary School is a Manhattan-based school that caters to children from nursery school to eighth grade.

Nursery school, Pre-K, and Kindergarten students start off with a focus on developing the child in these critical early years of life, with emphasis on physical, emotional, cognitive, linguistic, and emotional development.

In elementary school, students begin studying religion. In fact, Epiphany School considers religion the cornerstone of its educational program. Academic skills focus on building basic skills, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Epiphany Elementary School is split into two campuses. The Epiphany Campus houses kindergarten through third grade while The St. Stephen Campus has made room for nursery school and Pre-K in addition to fourth through eighth grades.

Students are required to wear uniforms. Approved uniform vendors are Flynn & O’Hara and Land’s End. For more information on Epiphany uniform requirements, check the school’s website.

Epiphany Elementary School also has an after school program. The school has been going strong since 1888 and has been in the same location during its entire life while operated by the Epiphany Church Catholic parish, which opened its doors at 236 East 22nd Street in 1869.

Student activities include student council, altar service, Power Lunch Program, Stars for Service, basketball, track, soccer, rugby, Glee Club, and the Mock Trial Club.

Check out the Epiphany Elementary School website for more information.
