Focus On Kid’s Korner Preschool

Kid’s Korner Preschool was established in October 1993 as a play-based school where children could develop according to their natural abilities.

Children are encouraged to develop a sense of self as they move through “learning centers” throughout the day.

Students graduating from Kid’s Korner Preschool have gone on to other Firm Schools throughout New York City, including:

  • City and Country School
  • Corlear’s
  • Dalton
  • Epiphany
  • Heschel School
  • Horace Mann School
  • Little Red Schoolhouse
  • Rudolph Steiner School
  • St. Luke’s School
  • The United Nations School
  • The United Nations School, Queens Campus
  • The Dwight School

and several public schools, which include The Anderson School, The Lower Lab School, The Manhattan Charter School, and Hunter Elementary School among others.

Pre-Kindergarten at Kid’s Korner Preschool is arranged on a 3-day minimum class schedule, but parents have a 4-day and a 5-day option as well. Extended days are available for children who need them.

Two year olds and three year olds have a half-day and a full-day option available with extended days available. Both part-time and full-time options include 2-day, 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day schedules both for morning and afternoon classes.

Kid’s Korner Preschool accepts applications for the new school year starting the first week of September 2011, with Open House tours beginning the week of Monday, October 24th, 2011. Parents who apply for the 2012-2013 school year before September 1, 2011 may be eligible for a waiver on the application fee.
