Focus On Sinai Academy Center

by NYC Firm Schools on April 16, 2011

Sinai Academy Center is a Jewish private school for students in grades 7 through 12. It is located in Brooklyn, NYC.

Sinai Academy is known for its strong academic program, but another thing that sets it apart from public schools is its strong family environment, and what sets it apart from other Jewish schools is its flexible Jewish education program, which allows students who come from a non-religious background to learn about their Jewish heritage and history.

Faculty at Sinai Academy keep the classes small, usually to 15 students maximum. This allows the teachers to get to know each student well.

Sinai Academy sets itself apart from public schools in another way. They call it “flexible scheduling.” No student is turned away from courses they want to take. There is no limit to the number of AP and Regents courses a student can take, and that makes a big difference.

Academic study at Sinai Academy includes:

  • AP exams with college credit
  • Classrooms with T3 Internet capability
  • Computer programming training in Java, C++, and Visual Basic
  • Online courses
  • Training in Microsoft Office
  • Graphics and Flash training
  • Training in computer repair and networking

Students at Sinai Academy have been accepted at top tier colleges such as Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Wharton, MIT, NYU, and other Ivy League schools.

Sinai Academy offers a Jewish Studies program that can be tailored to the needs of each student and teaches the Jewish tradition from a cultural and historical perspective. It is the perfect environment for children with no previous coursework in Hebrew, but who wants to learn more about his or her Jewish heritage.
